What is luxury vinyl tile?
Luxury Vinyl Tile is a type of hard flooring. It has a wide range of design options and can replicate the look of natural stone or wood flooring, without the extensive installation or maintenance costs associated with either. It is made up of several layers.
Wear layer
A polyurethane coating, the protective clear layer.
Print film layer
Contains the graphic.
Vinyl core and tile backing
Together they provide rigidity.

For areas that need or particularly want hard surface flooring for aesthetic or practical reasons, Luxury Vinyl Tile is one of the best options. It combines many of the benefits of other types of hard flooring, without the drawbacks of price or complex maintenance requirements.
Ease of maintenance
Natural wood and stone have very specific maintenance requirements to avoid staining or surface damage, and may need labour-intensive upkeep: daily mopping and sweeping, plus regular waxing and polishing. LVT has a protective wear layer, so for the most part it doesn’t need waxing or polishing. Mopping and sweeping keep it looking as new. Depending on the thickness of the wear layer, you can get up to 10 years’ use before it needs to be reapplied.
